My Evening Skincare Routine

by - March 05, 2018

I used to be absolutely awful when dealing with my skin, but that's not necessarily because I didn't care, it was more that my skin has never been that bad and I thought I could get away with leaving it. However, I've now learnt that it doesn't matter how good or bad your skin is, it's always so important to manage your skin and keep up with it, in case a breakout does happen. Even though I have no problems with my skin, I am the absolute worst for falling asleep with a face full of make-up, which can easily tighten up my face and cause me to have make-up clogged up in my skin which is a big NO-NO. Even if you have good or near to perfect skin, it's still important to keep a skin-care routine going, so that your skin is able to breathe and feel refreshed.

I'm not saying I have a steady routine when it comes to skin-care, but at least there is one in place and I'm not completely neglecting my skin. I do try my very best to get at least some of my routine in every night, so my face is still getting a slight bit of treatment, if I'm not up to do it all.

Here is my evening skin-care routine:

1. To start off with, I quickly go over my face with a make-up wipe just to try remove as much as possible. I used to use one wipe every night and think it would work wonders for my skin; however, I soon realised it wasn't doing much and I could feel a lot of spots appearing from where the wipe hadn't completely removed the make-up. So when I finally put a whole routine together, it was an absolute heaven sent and I would never turn my back from it! P.S. I will be looking in to a much better make-up remover!

2. Next, I will use the 'NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Night Pads' to rid all excess make-up that can be found around my nose and hairline. These pads are also coated with acid, therefore they are extremely cleansing for your face and if you are struggling with a little breakout, having a product with acid in will 100% calm the situation down and help rid of any unwanted spots. See my full review on the NIP+FAB Cleansing Pads here.

3. I will then massage the 'Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser' in to my skin, as it refreshes and cleans my skin immaculately. For this, you only need a small pea-sized dot on to your palm and work it in, so the overall result leaves you feeling fresh.

4. Then, I rinse the Clinique cleanser off of my skin with warm water and continue with the 'No7 Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator'. With this, I use an exfoliating brush to work away the dead cells and unclog my pores. Again, I will wash my face with warm water.

5. Lastly, I use the 'No7 Essential Moisture Day Fluid' to nourish my skin and let it absorb throughout the night, leaving my skin feeling supple and smooth in the morning.
